Meta Title: Affiliate & Editorial Disclosure — WekyTech
Meta Description: Full disclosure of WekyTech’s affiliate relationships, advertising practices, and editorial standards. We believe in complete transparency with our readers.
Last Updated: July 2026
Our Commitment to Transparency
WekyTech is built on one principle: honest information that actually helps you make better decisions. Maintaining reader trust requires complete transparency about how we make money and how those revenue sources do — and don’t — influence what we write.
This page explains everything.
1. Affiliate Links — What They Are and How They Work
Some articles on WekyTech contain affiliate links — links to products or services on external retailers. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, WekyTech earns a small commission from the retailer. This commission comes at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is identical whether you use our link or navigate directly to the retailer.
Affiliate programs WekyTech may participate in:
| Program | Retailer | What We Link To |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Associates | Amazon (US & Canada) | Routers, earbuds, phone accessories, cables |
| Best Buy Affiliate | Best Buy | Phones, laptops, smart home devices |
| B&H Photo Affiliate | B&H Photo | Electronics and accessories |
| Apple Affiliate | Apple | iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods |
| Google Affiliate | Google Store | Pixel phones, Nest products |
| Commission Junction / ShareASale | Various | Tech products and services |
2. How Affiliate Relationships Affect (and Don’t Affect) Our Content
This is the most important part of this disclosure. Here is our exact editorial process:
✅ What affiliate relationships DO
- Generate revenue that allows WekyTech to operate as a free resource for readers
- Determine which retailers we link to when we recommend a product we’ve already chosen on editorial merit
❌ What affiliate relationships DO NOT do
- Determine which products we recommend
- Influence how we rank products in “Best” articles
- Change our assessment of a product’s strengths and weaknesses
- Prevent us from criticizing products made by companies we have affiliate relationships with
Our process in plain terms:
We test products or evaluate them based on verified data, form an editorial judgment, and then — and only then — find the best link to share for readers who want to buy. The commission follows the recommendation. The recommendation never follows the commission.
Example: If a $69 earbud outperforms a $150 one in our testing, we recommend the $69 option even if the $150 option generates a higher commission. This has happened multiple times on WekyTech, and it will happen again.
3. Sponsored Content
WekyTech may occasionally publish clearly labeled sponsored content — articles or sections written in partnership with a brand. Sponsored content:
- Is clearly labeled “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” at the top of the article
- Represents the brand’s perspective and is not independent editorial content
- Does not imply WekyTech’s endorsement of the brand’s claims beyond what we can verify
Sponsored content is separate from our regular editorial articles. Our editorial articles are never paid for by brands — only our clearly labeled sponsored posts are.
4. Free Products for Review
WekyTech may occasionally receive products from manufacturers at no charge for the purpose of review. Our policy:
- Receiving a free product does not guarantee a positive review
- We disclose when a product was provided free for review within the article
- Free products are returned or kept only with the understanding that our editorial independence is not affected
As of our current publishing history, most products covered on WekyTech are purchased independently or evaluated using publicly available data and verified testing from trusted sources.
5. Advertising
WekyTech may display third-party advertising through networks such as Google AdSense. Advertising:
- Is clearly visually separated from editorial content
- Is not chosen by or controlled by WekyTech on a per-ad basis
- Does not influence editorial decisions
Advertisers do not have advance access to articles, the right to review content before publication, or any editorial input.
6. Price and Availability
Prices, availability, and product specifications mentioned in WekyTech articles reflect conditions at the time of writing. Technology markets change rapidly:
- Prices may be higher or lower than stated
- Products may be discontinued
- New versions may have been released
Always verify current pricing and availability on the retailer’s website before purchasing. Articles display a “Last Updated” date — check it before making purchase decisions.
7. FTC Compliance
WekyTech’s affiliate and sponsorship disclosures are made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guidelines for Endorsements and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between advertisers and content publishers.
In plain terms: the FTC requires us to tell you when we have a financial relationship with a brand or retailer whose products we discuss. We do — on this page, and within individual articles where relevant.
For Canadian readers, our disclosures also comply with the Competition Bureau of Canada’s guidelines on influencer marketing and online endorsements.
8. Our Editorial Independence — A Direct Statement
WekyTech is a one-person operation run by Raouf Osman. There is no editorial board, no brand partner with editorial access, and no advertiser with the ability to change what we publish.
Every recommendation on this site reflects genuine research, testing, or analysis. When we say a product is the best choice, it’s because we believe it — not because someone paid us to say it.
When our editorial judgment changes — because a better product was released, a service deteriorated, or new information emerged — we update our recommendations accordingly, regardless of any affiliate relationships involved.
9. Questions and Corrections
If you believe an article on WekyTech contains a factual error, an undisclosed affiliate relationship, or content that appears to conflict with these editorial standards — please contact us directly.
We take editorial integrity seriously and will investigate and correct any legitimate concerns promptly.
